The Courts & Politics Research Group is composed of scholars who study courts, constitutions, and the law from a political science perspective. Originally designed to connect political scientists in the region of Southern Ontario, it currently has 24 faculty members from 11 institutions: Brock University, Concordia University, the University of Guelph, McMaster University, Queen's University, the Royal Military College of Canada, Ryerson University, the University of Toronto, the University of Waterloo, the University of Windsor, and York University.

The goal of the group is to bring together faculty and graduate students in meetings, workshops, and the occasional conference in order to communicate the latest research findings in the field , provide feedback on works-in-progress, foster collaboration, and generate knowledge.
